Hi,

I have a Mazda2 car year 2008 with keyless entry system, which am using used since 2010. Since 2 weeks back, I've noticed that the small black button on the door knob, which I normally used to open the unlock the door (via the keyless remote) is not working. I have to press the button on the remote to unlock the door.

Anyway had that issue and can advise me on the solution to that problem please. I've even change the battery in the remote to be sure it's not a battery problem and still same issue.

Thanks

Hello!

I'm looking at buying a Miata, and I was just wondering if I could get some feedback on whether or not I'm getting a good deal. Here's the info on the one I'm looking at:

2006 sport
87000 miles
nearly immaculate interior and exterior
Two previous owners:
First one had it for 4 years and put 20k miles on it
second one had it for 2.5 more years and put nearly 70k miles on it,
almost all highway
6 speed manual transmission

So far, I've talked them down from $12,400 to $11,500.

Given the mileage, is that a reasonable price, or should I try to bring them down lower?

I intend to drive it as my primary car, so I'll be putting a lot of miles on it myself; what is considered a lot of miles for a Miata?

Thanks!

Windows are all rolled up, no visible leaks. I called the Service department and they said it's normal.. really?? I have not seen this as a known issue among brand new mazda 2 2012 cars - and no there is NO way this is normal.

Any idea's? Anyone having similar issues?

I have a 2002 Tribute with 147K miles on it. Battery died on me yesterday and barely made it home after jumpstarting the battery twice. Tonight I replaced the battery with Autocraft Silver battery (40R). Car started up with no problems (much to my relief as I was hoping the issue would be the battery and not the alternator)... However, the remote keys, dome lights, internal electronics are a complete dud (unless the car's turned on). I tried reprogramming the remote keys as per instructions I downloaded from the website, but that didn't work.

How do I reprogram the remote keys and all internal electronics? Or do I need to go to the dealership and have them reprogram my electronics?

Thanks!

Hi everyone I have a 2004 Mazda Tribute V6 with leather interior. This has around 45,000 original miles runs and drives great, I have too many cars and want to part this one out! Why part it out if it runs and drives great, well I am trying to save up money to buy a house and teaching my ex that never paid me for this car a lesson since she wants it back so bad after I reposessed it from her I would like to part it out and take pictures to send to her, well that and maybe by parting it out I can get more money out of it! Anyway it has fog lights, complete interior, power windows and locks, it is an automatic transmission V6 the only problems are a very small dent on passenger rear quarter panel and some minor damage to passenger front fender, flare and some scratches on the front passenger door she told me she didn't even realize she hit anyone so it is a good thing she doesn't have a car anymore anyway. Some damage on the hood as well although all parts function properly the damage just doesn't look pretty. Everything else is in great shape, no tears in seats, dash is not cracked, glass is all in good shape, I have the floor mats, guys this car just a $600.00 tune up and oil change on her dime a couple thousand miles ago. She got the tune up in April, drove it until I reposessed it in August and his been sitting in a garage since then and now I want the space and I need the cash to try and buy a house! Let me know what you would be interested in and I will give a price if we agree I will list parts in the classified section and you can PM me. One main thing I would like to sell the engine and transmission first to make it worth parting out, if there is not enough interest or the engine and trans don't sell I will most likely just sell it as a whole car after doing the body work and repainting the damaged areas if not the whole car. So let me know what parts you want and need. I will take pics the next time I am around it.

This info was given to me by the rotary mechanic that rebuilt my 2004 RX8 Engine and I would like to know if this info is correct, because dealership mechanic + local rotary mechanic are telling me otherwise.

"Always use non synthetic motor oil with a quality filter (bosch, mobil 1,
wix, k&n, oem mazda, etc.) and change approx 2500 miles at a time. Check oil
level every odd tank full of gas until you determine the rate at which your
engine uses oil (if it does at all), as rotary engines do burn some oil by
design and if you fail to keep a check on it, you can run the pengine
internals low on oil and damage them.

I usually run 10-30 or 10-40 in winter and 20-50 in summer. If you wanted to
stick with one weight of oil year round I would run 10-40. DO NOT run the
mazda recommended 5-20 or 5-30 oil. Brand is really of no consequence in my
opinion, just stay with one brand as much as possible."

Hey guys question here. Have a Mazda Tribute 2012 front wheel drive automatic.
Lately I'v been noticing a knocking noise that I can feel on my foot while rocking the steering wheel just a little bit from side to side. Took it to the dealer and when I went out with the mechanic he said he was feeling something and that he suspected it was the links. Left the car and the y called me a few hours later saying that they were not able to reproduce the noise and that everything looked tight. As I'm leaving the dealer I was able to reproduce the noise. So I called the garage manager who called the mechanic and he told me that it was normal for the Mazda tribute to have a little play on the rack and pinion assembly.
Has anybody had the same experience?. Is this actually normal?. It only happens when moving it slightly side to side and not under normal operation
Thanks in advance
